Terms of Use

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

Pipli is provided by Harry Langley, trading as Pipli, email support@pipli.app ("we", "us").

These terms apply to the Pipli iOS app and Pipli Pro. By downloading or using the app, you agree to them.

2. Licence: Apple's Standard EULA

The app is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"). These Terms of Use are additional terms. If they conflict with the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA wins, except where these terms give you more rights.

We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content, for support, and for dealing with any claims about it.

3. Age

You must be at least 13 to use Pipli. If you're under 18, please check these terms with a parent or guardian. Some AI apps that lessons mention have their own age limits (some features are 18+). Follow their rules when you use them.

4. Pipli Pro subscriptions

• What you get: Pro unlocks every lesson and track, the second daily game each day, every project from start to finish, and unlimited saved prompts in your Toolkit. The free version includes the first three lessons of the core track, the first lesson of every other track, one daily game a day, the first steps of each project, and up to three saved prompts.
• Plans: Pipli Pro Annual (billed yearly, with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers) and Pipli Pro Monthly (billed monthly, no trial). The price is shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency, including VAT.
• Payment: charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or at the end of the free trial.
• Auto-renewal: your subscription renews automatically at the same price and for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• Free trial: if you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the annual plan starts and you're charged. One free trial per Apple Account.
• Cancelling: in the app, go to Settings › Manage subscription, or open iOS Settings › your name › Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for.
• Refunds: Apple handles all payments and refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
• Restore: use "Restore purchases" in the app to get Pro on another device signed in to the same Apple Account.
• Price changes: if we change the price, Apple will tell you in advance, and where the law or Apple's rules require it, ask you to agree before you're charged the new price.

5. Educational content: not professional advice

• Pipli teaches you how to ask AI tools better questions. It is general education only.
• Nothing in the app is medical, legal, financial, tax or careers advice. Check anything important with a qualified professional or an official source.
• AI tools can produce wrong, out-of-date or biased answers. Always check what an AI tells you before relying on it.
• The AI outputs shown in lessons and games were generated in advance by our team using AI models, then reviewed and labelled with the model provider and date. Where we've edited an output for a lesson (for example, adding a deliberate mistake for you to spot), we say so.
• AI tools change quickly. We date tool-specific lessons, but features may have moved or changed since.

6. Third-party apps and services

Lessons may mention third-party AI apps such as ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini so you know where to use what you've learned. Using them is optional and is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We're not responsible for them.

Pipli isn't affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by OpenAI, Anthropic or Google. ChatGPT is a trademark of OpenAI. Claude is a trademark of Anthropic. Gemini is a trademark of Google LLC.

7. Using the app fairly

Please don't copy, resell or redistribute our lessons or game content outside the app; reverse-engineer the app except where the law allows it; or use the app to break the law or someone else's rights. The prompts you write and save are yours. You can export them from your Toolkit and use them however you like.

8. Our content

The app, its lessons, games, design, characters and the Pipli name belong to us or our licensors.

9. Availability and changes

We're always improving the app. We may add, change or remove lessons and features. If we remove something material that you've paid for, we'll tell you in advance, and you can cancel. We'll try to keep the app available but can't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Our responsibility to you

If you're a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to digital content that is faulty or not as described, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Nothing in these terms affects those rights. Advice about your legal rights is available from Citizens Advice.

We're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We're not responsible for loss or damage that isn't foreseeable, or for business losses (the app is for personal use). We don't exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

11. Ending these terms

You can stop using the app and delete it at any time. Cancel your subscription separately (section 4), because deleting the app doesn't cancel it. We may suspend access if you seriously break these terms.

12. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what data we handle and why.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example to reflect new features or changes in the law. We'll change the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app first.

14. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts there.
